Nick Pozek is a humanitarian and social entrepreneur with over a decade of experience leading ambitious projects and cross-disciplinary teams. Nick has pioneered new models for engaging global communities, developed strategic cross-sector partnerships, and championed innovation in a variety of organizations.
In his role as Assistant Director, Asian Legal Programs at Columbia Law School, Nick conceptualizes and organize conferences, symposia, lecture series, research projects, and events about Asia-Pacific regional studies, international law and globalization. He serves jointly as Assistant Director for the Center on Chinese Legal Studies and the Center for Japanese Legal Studies.
Previously, Nick oversaw the League of American Orchestras’ grant making and leadership programs, including the American Orchestra’s Futures Fund and the League’s flagship Emerging Leaders Program. He also served as a special liaison to orchestra CEOs across the US.
At Asia Society, Nick led efforts to cultivate understanding and collaboration in the cultural sector through the Transfuze initiative. Nick also built an emerging media program at Carnegie Museum of Art that integrated digital innovation into the core operations of a century-old institution. His work included some of the earliest efforts to engage museum audiences through social media and create meaningful visitor experiences through immersive interactive content.
Nick holds a Master of Arts Management from the School of Public Policy & Management in the Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University and graduate certificates from Duquesne University School of Law and Gabelli School of Business. Nick holds the Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional designation from Fiscal Management Associates and the Certified Negotiation Expert designation from the Real Estate Negotiation Institute.
